Ear wax can be removed manually, with water irrigation, or with Micro Suction. Sometimes a combination of all three is necessary to clear the ear canal safely. No matter which method we employ, we have searched for the best tools to remove ear wax or foreign bodies effectively.
We always keep up-to-date with the latest developments in hearing care technology, as well as guidance on techniques and associated pathologies.
Our Process.
Here’s how it works.
First, we take a detailed report of your history - this helps us identify your main concern as well as giving us an opportunity to understand your relevant medical history. Next, we take a look inside your ears with magnification loupes. These are specialised glasses that allow us to see your ear canal in precise detail.
We’ll then explain what we’ve seen and describe how we plan to remove the ear wax or foreign body - we’ll even show you a live video of your ear canal so you can see for yourself. After the successful removal, we’ll show you your clear ear canals as well as the fascinating tympanic membrane - your ear drum.
Your Aftercare Plan.
Taking care of your ears.
Just like ears, every person’s needs are different. That’s why we create a bespoke aftercare plan for each patient. Sometimes this is as simple as a yearly check-up, other times we may draft a referral letter to your GP or suggest a visit to an ENT.
In the unlikely event where we haven’t been able to remove what we need to from your ears, we’ll book a complimentary follow-up appointment to get you sorted.
